LACS 201 Perspectives and Debates in Latin American & Caribbean Studies

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the themes, ideas and contemporary issues that affect the land and peoples of Latin America.  While building historical context for contemporary events, we’ll examine Latin America through a multidisciplinary lens focused on analyzing power and learning from the rich and diverse experiences and perspectives of Latin Americans.
