ENG 370 Animal Ecologies, Earthly Humanities
This course centers humanity's place in a more-than-human world, where climate change, extinctions, and changing views about the objectification of animals and nature call us to a more horizontal affinity with other creatures. We will examine modern and contemporary literature interested in animality, alongside important works of animal theory. Further links to feminist study, and race theory, help us engage with ethical and epistemological connections to the category of species.
