EVSC 350 Extinction
This course explores how extinction has shaped, and is shaping, life on Earth. We will investigate the causes and impacts of mass extinction events and background extinction, and the lessons we can learn from these past events that are applicable to modern extinction concerns. Through a series of paper discussions we will interpret research that has been done on these topics, and develop ideas on how future research on extinction past and present might proceed.
