REL 272 Special Topics: Religion and Technology
This course explores the relationship between religion and technology. We will examine how technology has shaped religious practices, beliefs, and institutions, as well as how religious traditions have responded to and influenced technological advancements. Topics include digital religion, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, virtual reality, and online platforms for worship, education, and social networking. We will explore emerging technologies such as brain-computer interfaces, nanotechnology, and space exploration.
