SPAN 423 Seminar in Early Modern Spanish Literature and Culture

An in-depth study of a literary theme, author, or genre related to Spain during the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Emphasizing the cultural contexts, examples of topics include transvestite comedy, the short prose of Cervantes, the Spanish Inquisition, or Neo-Baroque themes and imagery in contemporary film and literature.
