| Approved CE science elective in BIOL, GEOL, or NEUR | |
| One approved CE engineering elective | |
| One approved Engineering/Mathematics/Science elective | |
| Two additional approved CE math or science electives | |
CE Electives: Any 200-level or higher, non-required course in CE (excluding STSC courses: CE 202, CE 203) No more than one full-credit CE Independent Study course credit can be used to fulfill the "Two CE electives" category. A petition must be approved for half credit CE Independent Study credits to be used to fulfill one of the "Two CE electives" category.
Engineering Electives: Any ES or CS course (excluding STSC courses); any 200-level or higher course in CE, CHE ECE, and ME (excluding STSC courses); any approved EGRS course (EGRS 261, EGRS 271, EGRS 352).
MATH Electives: Any 200-level or higher course in mathematics.
Science Electives: Any course from BIOL, CHEM, GEOL, PHYS or NEUR (excluding STSC courses).
CS courses (excluding STSC courses) count as engineering electives. However, a student may petition for the required science elective in BIOL/NEUR/GEOL (basic science) to be met by a CS course (excluding STSC courses) provided that the student has received credit for eight or more math and science courses that meet the civil engineering curriculum requirements. In no case can a CS course count as both an engineering elective and as a replacement for the required science elective in BIOL/NEUR/GEOL.
