Honors

Lafayette College encourages and recognizes superior academic work.

Students who achieve a semester average of at least 3.60 in a term during which they have completed 3 or more letter-graded course credits (with no pending Incompletes) are named to the Dean's List.

Those who graduate with high cumulative averages based upon four years' work are awarded their degrees summa cum laude (a cumulative average of 3.85 or higher), magna cum laude (3.75), or cum laude (3.65).
