International Students

Lafayette actively seeks international students, whose special experiences contribute significantly to the rich diversity of the campus community. Currently, approximately seven percent of the student body is made up of international students who represent 55 countries.

SAT and ACT testing is optional for students applying for Fall 2027 and Fall 2028. Students whose first language is not English must submit the results of an official English language proficiency test unless they have received academic instruction in English for the past 3 years. Lafayette typically looks for a minimum score of TOEFL 100, new TOEFL 5, IELTS 7, or Duolingo 130.
