ES 105 Introduction to Engineering Design for Non-Engineers
This course teaches the fundamentals of engineering design methodology. Students will use engineering design processes to aid them in: recognizing the need for an engineering solution, defining constraints, specifying requirements, and modeling an engineering solution, among other aspects of engineering design. Instructors integrate societal contexts of engineering practice into the projects and examine the implications of engineering solutions. Students cannot earn credit for both ES 101 and ES 105.
