FAMS 365 Cinema and Labor
Labor is a couple of things at once: it is a basic process involving the changing of forms in time through exertion and it is a historically specific set of procedures conditioned by the economic system prevalent during a given conjuncture. This course considers the capacities for representing both kinds of labor that cinema—a time-based medium—can offer, as well as the obstacles that it faces in the contemporary moment.

FAMS 101, or permission of the instructor.
