THTR 209 Theater and Environment
Today, social and racial injustices abound, including unequal access to healthcare, education, and food, and environmental problems like fracking, air pollution and climate change. This course asks how all of these problems be connected to one another and also considers how the arts can highlight and address these interconnecting problems. Through the analysis of environmental theater, music, film, literature, and social media, students will gain a better understanding of how socio-political forces shape environmental problems.
