Film and Media Studies Major

Requirements

The major consists of a minimum of nine courses:

FAMS 101	Introduction to Film and Media Studies
FAMS 420	Capstone
	At least one course in Film and/or Media History
	At least one course in Film and/or Media Theory
	At least one course in Film and/or Media Practice

FAMS major, via close consultation with programs advisors, will build depth and focus into their specific course of study. In dialogue with their advisors, students will select elective courses that best suit their interests, for example, choosing to focus on global issues in FAMS, on cinema history, or on new media.
