Investigation of a reactions to the Holocaust in a variety of genres, such as theology, philosophy, literature, history, ethics, politics, photography, memorials, and film. Contextualizes Jewish conceptions of suffering, considering the Holocaust as a "Jewish" event, and the influence of Holocaust narratives in the U.S., Israel, and Europe.
