THTR 284 Costume Design
In this course, students will explore the art of visually crafting characters for theater. Focusing on dramaturgical analysis, historical research, and visual storytelling, students will learn to translate dramatic narrative and thematic objectives into aesthetic concepts. Further, students will build familiarity with the collaborative costume design process, the artistic and material skills necessary to realize designs, and how to assess the products of costume design in production.
