One approved science elective

Engineering Capstone sequence (two courses)

Five approved Engineering focus theme courses: 2 approved science/math/engineering focus theme courses + one approved science/math focus theme course + two approved focus theme electives (any division)

  • Students must select one of three focus areas: Bioengineering, Environment & Energy, and Robotics.
  • Capstone electives are selected in relation to the chosen theme.
  • Engineering, math, science, and related divisional electives must be selected from the approved list of courses specific to each focus area.
  • Approved BS Engineering science electives are BIOL 111, BIOL 112, CHEM 108, PHYS 133 or PHYS 152.

Replace CS 104/105 with the new course CS 110 Introduction to Computer Programming. This new course was approved at the Feb 24, 2026 faculty meeting. (note I was unable to do this through the portal because CS 110 is not yet listed as an option under CS)
