A&S 320 Lenape Homelands and Lafayette: How a College Got Its Land
The land that became Easton and Lafayette College are part of the larger ancestral homeland region of the Lenape people. How did it become Lafayette College? Students will answer this question in this exciting, research-centered course as we build a collective story about Lafayette’s beginnings. The class final project will be a public exhibit featuring our findings. Lectures by the Historic Preservation Officer for Delaware Nation offers students unique access to Lenape perspectives.
