BIOL 336 Evolutionary Genetics

The synthesis of genetics with the study of evolution led to a transformative understanding of the evolutionary process and the origins of biologic diversity. This course explores modern conceptual and empirical discoveries that have emerged from the combined study of genetics and evolution. Different topics are emphasized in different years as the course is updated and tailored to individual class interests each year. This is a seminar course intended for upper division students with a working knowledge of genetics and evolutionary biology.
