FYS 109 Understanding Design

In this seminar course, students use observational drawing, structured observation, journaling, readings, discussion, and writing to develop their ability to observe, discuss, and evaluate the use of common design elements in the spaces and objects that surround us and that comprise the built environment – the human-made environment where we spend most of our lives.
