INDS 253 Being Human in STEM

This seminar will examine the lack of diversity in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by exploring individual narratives and research on how gender, race/ethnicity, sexuality, (dis)ability, and other identities impact academic and professional experiences in STEM. Evidence-based interventions to enhance the policies, practices, and culture of STEM will be evaluated. Students will collaborate on a research project to foster greater inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in STEM at Lafayette and beyond. [GM1]
